A SPECIALLY made film for Bere Ferrers will be shown at the Church Hall tomorrow, Friday, February 8 at 8pm.
The TSW Film and Television Archive make the most fascinating films showing life in the West Country. Since television was able to capture it all on celluloid, the archivists have been saving and documenting the most interesting material. Each film shows as much as possible of the area in which it is being shown and an accompanying narrator brings it all to life with amusing anecdotes and much local knowledge.
More than 50 years of archive material is available to the film-makers and things looked so different 50 years ago. Children especially like to see how things used to be for their grandparents, and older generations just love to reminisce about familiar places and events.
Tickets are £4 and they are available from Bere Ferrers PO or telephone 01822 841464.
This performance has been organised with the help of Villages in Action.
