TAVISTOCK'S snooker star Andy Hicks gave a performance of his world class snooker skills for the Carers Trust charity at the Tavy Club last week.

Playing 13 frames against anyone brave enough to challenge him, he compiled breaks of 131, 127, 121, 118, 114 and 110, also throwing in 80, 79, 67, 64 and 51.

Only one player got anywhere near Andy at the event, Nigel Ryall, who plays for the Tavy Club A team in the Tavistock league.

He trailed Andy by 43 points with three reds left and proceeded to take the three reds and yellow, green and brown, only to miss the blue when he was on a possible 49 clearance.

Thanks were expressed to Andy's sister, Barbara, who organised the event for the charity — it raised £495.

Thanks were also expressed to Andy and Sally Perkins, of the Tavy Club, for the use of the facilities.
