WE, at the Wharf, would like to pass on our thanks and appreciation to all the loyal customers of the Wharf who fought their way through the chaos and upheaval of Goose Fair week to support our events and café.
Having operated the Wharf through the past six Goose Fairs I wonder how many other traders in town agree with us that Goose Fair provides little or no benefit to the town's businesses.
We employ up to 15 people from Tavistock, we buy as much of our supplies as possible from local businesses and we actively encourage local amateur groups to perform here. During Goose Fair week it is almost impossible for our customers, suppliers, employees and the vast army of volunteers who keep the Wharf operating, to find a parking space within a reasonable distance.
So thank you once again, all of you, who made exceptional efforts to continue as normal. We are very grateful.
