FURTHER to the article published about Christmas Day in Tavistock United Reformed Church, where 76 people plus volunteers enjoyed a great day together, organised by the Rev Roger Cornish (URC) and the Salvation Army (Major Carol Lockhart and Captain Penny Sullivan), we want to express our deep regret at the exclusion of the amazing financial gift received from an evening of carols and refreshment spent at Morwell House.
The Salvation Army band and the Callington Singers led a carol service while guests enjoyed the hospitality of their hosts and their very hard-working staff.
A collection was taken on the evening which, added to by the creative dinner evenings arranged by our hostess, amounted to an amazing £784!
We would wish to record our thanks to all who contributed to this wonderful amount and again apologise for the oversight in failing to recognise it in the original article.
