ZUMBA instructors from Tavistock shook their stuff to raise hundreds of pounds for charity recently. Instructors Janine Hodge, Beth Horton and Tracy Horton invited people to take part in a 'massive Zumba party' to raise money for Clic Sargent, which was held in Tavistock College's main hall with more than 80 people of all ages and abilities taking part. Tracy said: 'It was an amazing evening and we had the opportunity to showcase the fact you can show your own style and participate at your own ability.' Janine said: 'When the final figure came in that we had raised £600 for Clic Sargent we couldn't have been happier.' Beth, a student at Tavistock College, was also able to donate £200 to the school towards its fundraising for solar panels. The instructors expressed thanks to everyone who took part in the event, including the school for the use of the hall and friends and family who donated their time to ensure the evening ran smoothly. Tracy also expressed thanks to local Slimming World members who donated cakes to sell on the evening.
