POLICE in Tavistock are appealing to the public for information, following an alleged assault on a man walking the moors near Horrabridge on Sunday at 12.30pm.

The man spoke to a group of six, off-road motorcyclists, riding their bikes on the moors at Double Waters near Long Ash.

A disagreement led to an alleged assault on the walker who was left with grazes and bruises.

Police welcome any information on the incident, especially the motorcyclists involved. The motorcyclists were dressed in off-road gear and helmets.
