EVERYONE loves a rotter ? especially when it comes to garden waste! And if you compost, you?ll save money, recycle up to a third of your bin and help your garden grow too!

Later this month, to celebrate National Compost Awareness Week, a Compost Bus will be rolling into Tavistock?s Farmers? Market.

Experts will be on hand to give advice on how to start composting and plenty of top tips to keep on track.

West Devon Borough Council has also teamed up with Tavistock and District Conservation Project who will be selling compost bins, water butts and wormeries at discounted prices.

The event is at Tavistock Farmers? Market on Saturday April 24 from 9am.

And the first few people who buy a bin will receive an illustrated book, entitled ?Backyard Composting? worth £4.95 and a packet of giant sunflower seeds.

Borough recycling officer Jane Savage will be available to offer advice on waste reduction and recycling and to show how composting can reduce household waste by up to one third while, at the same time, making your garden healthier.

If you cannot make the event, contact Client Services at West Devon Borough Council on 01822 813656 for details of compost bin sales in your area.
