A BIG holiday crowd is expected as Newton Abbot stages its annual Sunday races on July 28.

It's a family fun day — accompanied children gain free admission — with plenty for everyone to do in addition to watching the horse racing.

Every child will receive a free gift bag. To add to the holiday atmosphere, there will be a fun ride and a bouncy castle, while parents are being reminded that creche facilities for children aged between three and seven are available at £3 an hour or £7 for the entire meeting.

And, as a special treat, the award winning 'Really Wild Encounter' — run by Really Wild Enterprises of Paignton — is coming to the racecourse for the afternoon with a show featuring a variety of live animals and wacky games for children.

Gates open at 11am and the Really Wild Encounter gets under way at 11.30am, continuing until the racing starts.

The first race on Sunday July 28 is scheduled for 2.25pm. Admission is £6 for the Course or £12 for Paddock.

Car parks are free, while it is £2 on the racecourse rails. More details can be found on web site http://www.newtonabbotracing.com">www.newtonabbotracing.com
