GREEN fingered gardeners and keen cooks in East Cornwall will be busily preparing for the annual Harrowbarrow and Metherell Flower Show, which takes place later this month.

The 48th annual show will be held in the village hall at 2pm on Saturday July 17.

There are almost 100 classes to enter, from fuschias and French beans to sweet peas and sausage rolls. There are also sections for children, plus arts, photography and handicraft classes.

The show guarantees the best in flowers, plants and produce from the area and after the prize presentations at 3.30pm, there will be an auction at 3.45pm.

The village hall has full disabled access and facilities ? admission is 30p for adults, 20p for children.
