STUDENTS of All Out Performing Arts are again celebrating exam success — almost 100 young people successfully passed LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) graded examinations in drama and musical theatre.
All results ranged between high merits and distinctions. Meanwhile, singers entering LCM (London College of Music) graded examinations were equally delighted.
Julian Barnicoat, an 'All Out', artistic director, said: 'This level of success is a credit to the proficiency and hard work of our students.
'We have a lot of fun in all the things we do and learning should be enjoyable, but if you genuinely want to progress and develop it's also important to set goals and work hard to achieve them. Our students do exactly that and this is largely why the performance ability of all our groups is so very strong'.
This theory will be put to the test this term when Tavistock students stage a new version of, 'The Nutcracker', in the town hall on November 25. From the start of term, students will be busy preparing for this challenging work.
On Friday, September 7, new members will be joining 'All Out' on Friday evenings in Tavistock so any young person from 6 to 18 who has an interest in singing and/or drama is invited to contact the company on Tavistock 615970 or visit their website at http://www.alloutarts.co.uk">www.alloutarts.co.uk
