Alice Toynton, a former pupil at Mount House School, has been selected to play for the England U18 girls' hockey team.
Alice, now 17, was at Mount House from 1997 until she left in 2006 after winning the top Sports scholarship to Canford School in Dorset.
During her time at Mount House, she represented the school at all levels, as well as playing for the Devon U14s for two years and for Tavistock Ladies.
At Canford School, Alice has played for the first XI for the last three years, and has represented Dorset at U15s, 17s and U18s levels. This led to her selection for the West of England U16s and U18s, and now to a call-up for the England U18s side.
