PHYL'S Follies present their annual production at Postbridge this month — Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.

The amateur dramatic group was formed some 40 years ago and takes its name from one of the founding members, Phyl Parish.

This year's show director is Roger Whale. Roger said: 'It would have been a daunting task without the help and support of the members of the group, who have been wonderful.

'We are a relatively small group and a friendly team who work together well and we are always looking for new members.'

Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves takes to the stage in Postbridge Village Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, January 24, 25 and 26, and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday January 31, February 1 and 2. There is also a matinee performance on Tuesday January 29.
