ALDER Gardens at Lewdown will be opening again after a year's break on June 9 in aid of the Exeter Leukaemia Fund.

The four-acre garden, four-acre lake and 70-acre woodland are part of a 700-acre farm run by Bob and Anne Westlake and there is plenty to see, including the herbaceous garden, which is looking really good right now.

The garden now has a vineyard and there will be tours on the day during the opening hours of 2pm to 6pm.

There will also be cream teas and other refreshments, a plant sale and raffle. Entry is £2.50 and children are free.
