THE Okehampton Supporter Group of the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) will be holding a clay pigeon shoot next month.
The shoot, organised by the chair of the group, John Barton, will be held at Burden Farm in Broadbury, Okehampton.
Mr Barton said: 'I and many of the Okehampton Supporter Group will be on hand to welcome both novices and experts for an afternoon of enjoyment — instruction, refreshments, competition prizes for various classes and a raffle will all be available on the day. You can also find out what ELF does and how to become involved.'
The supporter group, formed at the end of last year, has eight members and has already raised hundreds of pounds. ELF supports the work of the haematology centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, by providing funds for enhanced patient care, state of the art equipment and research.
The clay pigeon shoot will be on Saturday June 12, starting at 2pm. The cost per entry is £10 and to reserve a place, or for more information, contact John Barton on 01837 871263.
To get involved with the Okehampton Supporter Group of ELF call Mr Barton, or turn up at their next meeting, scheduled for Tuesday June 1, 7.30pm at the Plymouth Inn, Okehampton. More information about ELF can be found at http://www.elfcharity.org.uk">www.elfcharity.org.uk
