OKEHAMPTON did not start well and were soon 5 points behind after a Kingsbridge try due to some out of character bad tackling. Then, against the run of play, from a lineout a big gap appeared and captain Curtis went through to score, with full-back Evan Rees converting, leaving a half-time score Kingsbridge 5, Okehampton 7.
At half-time veteran flanker Andy Dennis replaced Barry Down. Okehampton did well to get any possession and with Richie Gee's final pass of his game he put captain Curtis through for his second try with Rees again converting.
Then with Evan Rees moving to fly half selling more dummies than Mothercare it was Phil Heard in support who scored under the post, with another Rees conversion.
Now, with Okehampton top, it was ever present Simon Griffiths who scored after a good forward drive, the final word coming from super sub Adrian Curtis, after yet another dummy from Evan Rees, who went over near the posts for the last try.
