TAVISTOCK Business Development District (BID) is preparing to embark on a new era as board members say farewell to manager Adam Fleet.

Adam, who also heads up the new Tavistock Enterprise Hub (TEH), which offers office space for start-up businesses and community groups, has decided to stand down as BID manager in order to focus on the challenges ahead in his role at the hub and similar projects nationally.

BID chairman Tony Whitehead said: 'We're naturally going to be very sorry to see Adam go. He has been integral in taking BID to another level in terms of strategy, drive and commitment in promoting Tavistock. But we are fully behind Tavistock Enterprise Hub and are delighted to see such an exciting business resource at the heart of the high street.'

Adam added: 'I have relished every moment championing Tavistock and the BID and will continue to do so from the position as a BID levy payer.

'However, with the hub at a crucial stage in its development I feel that I need to channel my energies into making it the most successful that it can possibly be. It's incredibly exciting and I have been enormously encouraged by the interest in flexible working and the wealth of talent we have right here amongst us. I look forward to continuing to drive business to Tavistock.'

Adam will continue as BID manager until the end of May. The post will be advertised in due course.
