Tavistock Girls 9
Activate Utd 1
THE first half saw Tavistock dominate. A combination of solid defence, good passing from midfield and the deadly partnership of Rebecca Rose and Robyn Hammond put them 8-0 up at half time, getting four goals each.
Newcomer Annie Johnson showed skill and courage, demonstrating real potential. A sporting change of team from Tavistock saw Hammond going in goal and Rose spectating from the sideline.
The new strikers of Vanessa Davey and Sophie Bassett found their work cut out in a more even match. Davey got on the scoresheet in the second half with her debut goal for Tavistock. Midfielders Hannah Smith, Sian Langman and Frankie Foster played well to keep the ball upfield.
Activate got one goal back but again a fine victory to unbeaten Tavistock Girls.
Player of the match: Rebecca Rose.

TAVISTOCK struggled to keep the ball under control on a hard pitch. Kim Davey broke through repeatedly but an excellent Tamarside keeper kept her at bay.
The first half saw many corners taken by Amy Campbell and shots from Tamsin Bryant and Chloe Bassett but the ball would not go in.
The second half saw Tavistock pass the ball around and Davey broke through to shoot low into the net.
Paige McGetchie and Heidi Davies came on to give strength to the team. The long throw of Bryant caught out the defence and enabled Davey to slot the ball over to the waiting Bassett for a tap-in goal.
Shortly before half-time Page made an excellent run and crossed to Davies who volleyed into the back of the net.
Player of the match: Heidi Davies.

TAVISTOCK are still struggling on a bigger pitch and conceded a few easy goals in the first half. Ruth Cole was again strong in her tackles and Aisha Macauley and Rhianne Parsons linked well.
Macauley attacked from the right and sent in crosses that Parsons reached but found herself quickly surrounded by Totnes.
Stephanie Morgan at left back showed great strength in marking and tackling. Laura Corrales and Katie O'Leary came on in midfield, dropping Holly Krotke to central defence and this seemed to brighten Tavistock's play.
Krotke started a move that sent Macauley off running to slot over to Parsons who sent a screamer which the keeper just fingertipped around the post. Louise Galway took over as keeper and Della Moloney moved outfield but the goal never came.
Player of the match: Aisha Macauley.
l Tavistock Girsl' U15s are looking for a goal keeper and would like to hear from anyone interested. Training is on Fridays from 5pm to 6pm at Tavistock College.
