A LEAFLET summarising the findings of an extensive community consultation in the Tamar area has been dropping through letter boxes in West Devon and East Cornwall.

The document is a summary of the Tamar Community Futures action plan, entitled Moving Forward: Working Together, and is the result of an extensive consultation exercise over the last two years.

Individuals and organisations were asked to consider the issues affecting their personal and working lives in their area in the consultation, which was carried out by Tamar Community Futures working with the Tamar Valley AONB Service.

The summary contains a taster from the full action plan of some of the initiatives and projects the communities have suggested will help them achieve their long-term visions.

Jane Osborne, co-ordinator for Tamar Community Futures, said: ?The action plan is intended to help everyone working in the Tamar Community Futures area to pull in the same direction and support the wishes of the communities.

?Over the next month we will be working with others to prepare some of the actions and projects for the first round of funding.

?Anyone wishing to offer their expertise or help would be made very welcome.?

The action plan, which outlines strategies for sustainable regeneration over the next 20 years, was produced under the Market and Coastal Town Initiative.

The area covered by the plan includes Tavistock, Bere Ferrers, Bere Alston, Callington, Calstock, and Gunnislake.
