A TWENTY-year-old man has been remanded in custody to appear in Barnstaple today (Thursday) charged with arson and affray. Luke Cashmore, of Station Fields, Halwill Junction, near Hatherleigh was arrested following an incident last Thursday evening, in which police had to force their way into a house. He was remanded in custody by magistrates at Barnstaple last Friday. He was charged with destroying by fire curtains belonging to his mother, being reckless as to whether life was endangered and with using or threatening violence.
