A VERDICT of accidental death was recorded on a 33-year-old sales representative from Horrabridge who died when his motorcycle left the A386 just outside the village. The inquest heard that James Trewartha, of Whitchurch Road, took action to avoid a car that was pulling out of a ?dangerous? junction at North Road at around 5.25pm on June 25. Witnesses reported seeing Mr Trewartha braking before going into the verge and the undergrowth beyond. He was pronounced dead at the scene. MPC Rowan Smith told the inquest at Tavistock last Tuesday that it was not possible to determine accurately the speed of the Honda 1,000cc motorcycle at the time of the accident and there was no evidence to say where the Metro was positioned in the road.
