ADVENTUROUS West Devon people with a head for heights are being invited to take part in an abseil down the civic centre building in Plymouth.
The abseil is in aid of National Children?s Homes, the leading childcare charity, which helps families in Tavistock and Okehampton by running the West Devon Activity Scheme for children with disabilities.
On Sunday, May 11, more than 50 people will abseil 175ft down the civic centre building in Plymouth.
Organisers are still looking for more volunteers from West Devon, who will need to raise £75 for the charity to take part. No previous experience of abseiling is needed as all training will be given by professional instructors.
Organiser Tricia Mugridge said: ?This is a unique opportunity to take part in an exhilarating abseil while at the same time raising valuable funds for NCH.
?There will be lots of other people trying abseiling for the very first time and you are welcome to bring along friends and family so they can watch on a day you will simply never forget.?
There are only a limited number of places, so to find out more about the event contact Tricia Mugridge on 01373 467283.
