A FRIGHTENED dog which was abandoned more than two weeks ago and has been roaming moorland since, has finally been found.

The border collie was part of the group of dogs dumped in a Yelverton car park last month. The other five dogs were rescued within a few days of being dumped and were taken to local animal shelters to be re-homed, but the collie could not be found.

The dog was finally caught using a humane trap thanks to hard work by the public, dog wardens and the RSPCA.

The dog has been taken to Gables Farm Dog and Cats' Home in Plymouth.

Despite all the dogs being found, information is wanted about the abandonment, which took place on the evening of Sunday February 14.
