THE A30 westbound between Whiddon Down and Okehampton was blocked last Wednesday evening following a two-vehicle collision. Emergency services were called to the scene after a transit van and a Mercedes 220 were in collision shortly after 5pm. One casualty suffered head injuries and had to be taken to hospital. Diversions were set up at Whiddon Down, and the road was re-opened at 6.10pm.
