THE Dartmoor Preservation Association are inviting people to get their wellies on and join them for a winter walk tomorrow (Friday) at Venford Reservoir.
The watershed of the Venford brook is marked by a large number of boundstones. The winter walk will follow the boundstones down past the waterworks, Bench Tor, Holne Lee, Ringleshutes tin mine and Holne Moor, seeing leats, tin working, a Bronze Age coaxial reave system and medieval fields.
The walk will take place tomorrow, covering approximately five to six miles of open moorland.
Meet at 10.30am at Venford Reservoir car park (SX 684 713).
