THE Walk and Talk scheme at Horrabrdige has notched a successful year.
The scheme is run under the umbrella of Natural England which provides the insurance cover. All leaders have been trained and have produced a group of enthusiastic walkers.
The group recently held its first annual lunch at the Plume of Feathers, Princetown, which was attended by 26 members.
Walks take place every Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays. All walks meet in the London Inn, Horrabridge, car park and leave at 10am. Walkers travel by car to the starting point.
The Tuesday walks last one hour and are moderate in pace. Wednesday walks are two hours and a little more demanding. Walks are free but there is a £1 donation to the car driver.
