I WRITE in support of Dick Eberlie?s perceptive, poignant letter concerning the tragic death of Councillor Peter Hill JP. As a district councillor ? and as a member of numerous other committees in the area, and beyond ? this fine man was to the forefront of our community life for half a century; also he gave us 35 years of outstanding service as a magistrate ? ever a man of fairness and compassion.
