A CHANCE to trek several miles through the darkness and be rewarded with a West Country pasty is on offer, to help raise funds for charity.
Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Plymouth in combination with the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen will be holding their annual 'Midnight Madness' trek in July and are encouraging keen walkers to take part to help raise money for the two charities.
Starting at Princetown Primary School at 9pm on July 21, the circular route of 18km takes in many popular paths, including the historic Princetown railway track and paths overlooking Burrator Valley.
Full support is given for the duration of the walk with manned checkpoints and search teams following behind. Full first aid cover and any other assistance will be provided.
All walkers will be rewarded with a pasty to ease their aches and pains at the end of the walk.
