BUDDING professionals, some from the Royal Academy of Music, were among the performers at a special concert in Okehampton recently, an event which formed part of the Two Moors Festival. The successful concert at All Saints Parish Church included pieces by Mozart, Schumann, Beethoven and Poulenc, the latter being a sextet for piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn. Around 150 people attended the concert in the newly refurbished church, many of whom noted the superb acoustics at the venue. The Friends of All Saints provided a supper at the rear of the church at the end of the concert, during which the performers were able to mingle with the audience ? and enjoy the comfort of the newly upholstered chairs!
