TAVISPECIALS, the football club for young people with learning disabilities based in Tavistock, took part in the BBC South West broadcast for Children in Need at Exeter University on Friday night.
The main hall was packed with action, singers, dancers and television crews.
The Tavispecials were first to be interviewed by presenter David Fitzgerald and their manager Allen Lewis thanked Children in Need for the £4,000 donation, which will be spent on a fantastic trip for the squad to St George's Park, the new state of the art FA complex where England train, to have an overnight stay and play on the amazing pitches that are on the complex.
With loads of cheering and laughter, one of the original Tavispecials members, Jessica Barrowman, shouted out how she raised over £74.00 for Pudsey's cause!
Cathy Sharp, joint founder of the Tavispecials, said: 'It was so lovely to get our members to go to see Pudsey, it gave them a real buzz.
'We are all looking forward to our trip next June so more celebrations are in order!'
