ON behalf of the Tavistock Branch of Cancer Research UK I would like to thank, through your paper, the Calstock Arts, for their generous donation of £580 – the proceeds of a quiz held recently at the Calstock Arts Centre.

This sum, when added to the amount sent to CRUK this financial year, brings the total remitted to £11,000.

This includes a total of £1056 raised at the street collection in August 2015.

This is a magnificent sum, a credit to all the generous benefactors of Tavistock and the surrounding area, which will make a significant contribution to the detection, treatment and cure of cancer.
