JOHNNY Cowling, the side-splitting singing Cornish comedian, is coming to Tavistock this month to help raise funds for local families who are supported by Children's Hospice South West at Little Harbour, the children's hospice near St Austell.

The Inner Wheel Club of Tavistock and the local Friends of CHSW are thrilled that Johnny has agreed to return to the Town Hall for an evening of his special brand of entertainment that is guaranteed to give everyone in the audience an evening that they will not forget in a hurry.

Johnny will be supported by local singers and musicians the 'Tavy Tars' who feature sea shanties and all things nautical in their repertoire.

The staff at Little Harbour care for local families who have a child who will not reach adulthood.

Recently a mum told supporters that it's only when she is staying at the hospice that she ever gets to drink a whole mug of hot coffee!

Little Harbour looks after more than 90 families and they need continued care as they face an uncertain future.

Some families will only visit the hospice a few times, others for many years before saying a final farewell to their child.

As the charity needs to look after the families for many years, it is so grateful for the support of the local friends' group which has been raising funds in the Tavistock area for more than ten years.

The hospice is full of life, love and laughter. If you would like your laughter to help change lives for the better, book your £10 ticket for the show on March 26 by calling 01822 613419.

Alternatively, drop in to the CHSW shop on West Street.
