AN evening with royalty is planned in Hatherleigh tomorrow (Friday), as the town?s centenary carnival queen is presented and centenary prince and princess are elected.
An exhibition of past carnival royalty is also being held ? if anyone has a photograph please could they give it to Cindy Squire or Louise Bater.
The Hatherleigh Carnival royalty evening takes place in the town hall at 7pm with voting ending at 8.30pm. This year?s president, Mrs Olive Reynolds, will present the centenary carnival queen and the chosen prince and princess.
The evening will also feature a disco by ?Looney Toones? until late and a bar and soft drinks.

The criteria are as always that at least one of the couple must be of primary school age and attending Hatherleigh, Highampton or Meeth primary school.
