A YELVERTON florist is feeling distinctly rosy after making a posie fit for a Queen.

Patricia Bruen of Heaven Scent Florists had the honour of making the posie presented to the Queen when she visited Plymouth yesterday (Wednesday.)

The florist?s creation of sweet peas, roses and lavender was given to the Queen by young Lucy Bannister from Plymouth, who won a competition in a regional newspaper.

Plymouth Sound saw its biggest fleet gathering in 100 years as the Queen presented the new colour to the Royal Navy.

Mrs Bruen, who has been a florist for five years, said the posie was very simple.

?I was told not to use any wires and the colours should be neutral,? she said.

?It is quite an honour to arrange flowers for the Queen and the photos will act as a permanent reminder.?
