A FAMILY looking for their missing dog have extended their search to the Okehampton area following an anonymous call to their home in Helston, Cornwall.
Muriel and Peter Williams have been told their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 'Pepsi', missing from home since December 30, was found and subsequently given to a lady in the Okehampton area as a present.
The couple, who have already covered their home area with posters, newspaper adverts and radio appeals, are now hoping that a search in Devon will find their beloved pet and a £200 reward is being offered for information leading to Pepsi's safe return.
Black and tan cavaliers are rarer than the other colours and the Williams hope that because Pepsi is three, a male, with short trimmed ears and particularly attractive, someone will notice him.
'Obviously, the information may not be true, but we have to follow up this lead in case it is,' said Mrs Williams. 'If a lady in the Okehampton area has Pepsi she probably has no idea where he comes from.
'We know how sensitive the situation could be but we are heartbroken. He belongs with us and our other cavalier Bingo, who is pining.'
