James May of Top Gear fame and Oz Clarke, Britain's much-loved wine writer, filmed outside the Royal Oak Inn in Meavy last Thursday for the BBC 'Man Lab' series.

After escaping from Dartmoor Prison and running over the moor they ended up in Meavy for a pint of ale, before driving off in a mark 2 Jaguar.

Oz Clarke said after starting filming at 8am he could not think of a better way to end the day than a pint of Jail Ale outside a classic country inn.

James May had twisted his ankle during filming but was still happy to sign autographs and pose for photos. The filming is due for screening in the autumn.
