ST RUMON'S School will be hosting the Tavistock Church Schools Federation Christmas Fair on December 14 from 5pm to 7pm.

Father Christmas will be there in his grotto ready to welcome children, who can also have their photo taken with him.

A secret present room will give children a chance to choose that all important present for their parents or grandparents as well as take advantage of an eager team of present wrappers.

There will also be fun and games, Christmas crafts to make, a wonderful range of prizes to win in the schools' fundraising raffle and children from both schools will be signing carols around the Christmas tree which has been specially decorated by the pupils.

PTA chair Lisa Luveniyali said: 'This event is one of the most popular evenings we have in our packed PTA calendar.

'It's a lovely start to Christmas and a great chance for children and parents to relax do a little shopping and enjoy a mince-pie or two. Our PTA events all help raise essential funds for the schools.'

Entry to the Christmas Fair is free.
