The festive season got well and truly under way in Tavistock last Friday night, as the town's annual Dickensian Evening drew huge crowds, eager to enjoy entertainment and a unique shopping experience.

The smells of roasting chestnuts and sizzling burgers enticed, while traditional music and carols conjured up the less commercial side of Christmas.
