A 40th birthday with a difference is happening in West Devon this weekend.

A special celebration fair is all set to take place at Winkleigh Community Centre on Saturday, October 4 to mark the 40th birthday of Winkleigh pre-school.

The event will run between 11am and 1pm with a whole host of activities.

There will be plenty of stalls for everybody to enjoy as well as cream teas, a photographer for child and family portraits, a bouncy castle, tombola and raffle.

There will also be a photographic display in the pre-school building with pictures of staff and pupils from the past 40 years of the pre-school.

The organisers are hoping to see a lot of 'old' faces on the day and everyone is welcome to attend.

All the money raised will go towards a new pre-school building which is 'desperately' needed — even more so now with the baby boom that has hit Winkleigh this year!
