IT'S almost eight weeks since I had a total hip replacement at the Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre in Plymouth. I had been in a lot of pain prior to this but now, thanks to a marvellous surgeon, I now have my mobility back. The Peninsula is a lovely hospital whose nurses and staff give you excellent care during your stay with them. It will be an absolute travesty if rumours are to be believed that it may close this year. The many people who have been treated at the Peninsula will agree with me. So for once let common sense prevail and keep this super hospital going for many years to come. My very special thanks to my surgeon and all the staff. I wish you all the best for 2015. Thank you.
