THE fight against hooligans seems to some degree to work in Plymouth. This seems to consist of naming the trouble-makers and using the anti-social behaviour orders and involving the parents.
Hooliganism and vandalism are increasing considerably in Tavistock, particularly from 10pm onwards, in West Street, Chapel Street, Plymouth Road and the Meadows.
There seems very little effort on the part of the police to stop this unruly behaviour. There is a limit to the amount of harassment people can tolerate.
Perhaps we have something to learn from what they are doing in Plymouth. But you can't impose an anti-social behaviour order unless the police are around to impose it!
