LAMERTON Parish Hall Committee held its annual cider and pasty supper with harvest auction at Willestrew House, Lamerton on September 9. Members were indebted to Geoffrey and Jeannie Cox for allowing them once again to hold a function at their home. The event, as always, was extremely well attended ? in fact a massive profit of £1,838.81 was raised for the Lamerton Sports and Community Centre Project. Sincere thanks to David Kivell who auctioned all the goods. We are so extremely grateful to everyone who purchased good etc and particularly to all those individuals, organisations and businesses etc for their tremendous generosity in the donation of money and all kinds of wonderful auction items. Finally, special thanks to the members and friends of Lamerton Parish Hall committee, who worked so hard setting up the event. Our next fundraising event, an illustrated talk by Surgeon General John Pearn of the Australian Army on his ?hand on? experiences in the far east following the tsunami disaster takes place in Lamerton Parish Hall on Saturday, October 1 at 7pm. All very welcome. Valerie Hill Chairperson Lamerton Parish Hall Committee
