HALF-term week, lovely sunny weather, plenty of visitors to Tavistock. We been told we desperately need more people visiting the town after the effects of foot and mouth. So what happens? Plymouth Road comes to a standstill while a tree is removed
A good bit of planning. Any visitors caught up in this chaos just turned around and went elsewhere.
Surely, this would have been better done on a Sunday with a local diversion set up after the half-term week.
To add to this chaos, the other option for local drivers, Pixon Lane, was also closed for roadworks which meant everyone using Whitchurch Road.
With a bit of forward planning this could have been avoided.
