A GROUP of travellers left West Devon to embark on a trip down memory lane recently, on a day visit to the Isles of Scilly.

The group left Tavistock for the day with the help of Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS).

General manager of TASS Andy Lyle said the visit followed a successful trip last year: The weather was fine, the company was fine, and the driver was Derek, a wonderful volunteer at TASS who is always up for a challenge.

The group enjoyed spending time on the island, viewing the magnificent scenery from a wonderful old bus, sharing their memories of years gone by and creating new ones for the future.

They also sampled the islands hospitality, while taking in the breath taking views.

It was a day to remember and share with friends and family when they returned home in the evening, tired but happy.
