The event was organised by Dr Tony Evans, who was also MC. The afternoon got off to a rousing start, with renditions by the Tamar Valley Trombones. This was followed by cornet solos from Gemma Brown, of Launceston. Next was Linda Evans, with vocal solos, accompanied by Ted Baker, on guitar. Then followed more cornet solos, this time by Ann Brown, of Launceston. Shaun Griffin, trombone, concluded the first half with two items.
The second half got under way with items from The Little Choir, under the direction of Graham Williams, with Mark Smith as accompanist. Several items by Launceston Youth Band concluded the afternoon.
Other events during the week include a coffee morning at Tamar Valley Methodist Church, and this Sunday, a further concert, but this time with different artistes.
