Okehampton U12S 28 Crediton U12s 21 THE visitors got off to a perfect start, running in an early try through their fly half. This seemed to wake the Okes up and with something to prove it was their forwards who had the better of early exchanges, with Leigh Hughes, prop, scoring the first try by picking up a loose ball in the ruck and driving over. The visitors were unable to mount any kind of attack with excellent defending by Henry Cooper, Sam Ewen and Ollie Kirby. The forwards were fired up and Tom White, in top form, ran in Okes? second try from just outside the visitors? 22. Okehampton won a scrum 30 minutes out and with Henry Penrose feeding Matt Johns good ball it was always going to be dangerous for Crediton, given his speed. He duly obliged, scoring the first of his two tries. With much of the same in the second half Johns scored virtually an identical try to his first. With Crediton mounting attack after attack if was left to Tom Foggerty and Johns to clear the ball from their own try line. Crediton did get two late tries through poor defending. Man of the match: Tom White.
