FROM small seeds do mighty oaks grow — and that is the hope of three young Tavistock artists who have set up their own gallery to get their work out to a wider audience.
Bradley Waters (left) and Michael Bond (right) have taken a unit — now called 'Small Idea' in Mary Thompson's Arcade on Brook Street and their friend Lee Jackson (centre) has taken the one opposite for his 'Driftwood' gallery.
There they are displaying a selection of their painting, artwork and photography.
Brad uses vivid colours in oil to express how he feels about the landscape that surrounds the town. Michael is a photographer.
Both men have full time jobs — Brad, a type setter in Tavistock and Michael a shelf-stacker at Safeway — but both are hopeful their careers as artists will take off, allowing them to leave behind the prosaic.
Lee is a full-time artist, recently graduated from art school in textile design and art, hoping for a break.
The galleries are open normal shopping hours.
