THE Christmas shopping rush is nearly over and the time will have begun for many of us to begin the visiting. This has become a great tradition of Christmas, as families travel miles to be together for this Christian festival. But it's actually a very profound part of the great Christmas message of the incarnation of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, come to dwell amongst us. Later on, John's Gospel records that some Greeks asked Philip, one of the apostles: 'Sir, we wish to see Jesus.' They wanted to visit him to spend time with him to get to know him better. And it all started with the angel who startled the shepherds with the news that the Messiah had been born and was lying in a manger in Bethlehem. So they went to visit him, followed by the Magi from the East. And they all came to know him, they believed — and their lives were transformed. And many of us will visit him in his crib at church services this Christmas. But the really exciting thing is that He visits us every minute of every day — for ever — if we will just let him. Have a wonderful, blessed and peaceful Christmas!
