TWELVE Morris sides will join forces on Saturday, November 12 to raise money for the BBC's Children In Need charity fundraising event.

Dartmoor Border Morris, a Meavy based group of Morris dancers, is no stranger at collecting for charity — over the last two years the group has raised £2,170 for charities.

But for one day only, Dartmoor Border has decided to go big and get behind the Children In Need event by organising a day of Morris dancing on Bedford Square, Tavistock, with eleven other morris sides, starting at 10am. Teams are coming from Plymouth, Okehampton, Newton Abbot and Exeter.

The timetable for the day will be: 10am, Dartmoor Border Morris with the Plymouth Morris Men; 11am Plymouth Maids with Catseye Morris; noon, Old Town Twelves with Grimspound Border; 1pm, Tinners Morris  with Cogs and Wheels ladies' Morris; 2pm Lodestone Border with Wreckers Morris; 3pm Heather and Gorse Ladies Clog with Beltane Border Morris.

Thanks have been expressed to Tavistock Town Council, Dartmoor Brewery and Bob's East End Café.
