AS we are now into 2015 we would like to say a big 'thank you' from the Halwill Community Market organisers and volunteers to all the 'sellers' and especially to all our friends in the community who come along and support us by enjoying a cup of coffee, purchasing raffle tickets and giving our 'sellers' their custom each month regardless of the weather. So once again, it is with a great deal of appreciation that we are saying 'thank you' to you all for helping us in achieving the wonderful atmosphere that we feel on 'our' Saturdays. I do not think that we anticipated that our monthly event would be so popular and continue after all these years. With our local support, it has enabled us to assist so many local charities and worthwhile causes from whom we have received many letters of thanks. It may surprise you to know that in total we have, over the past few years, reached nearly £8,000. Our first market in 2015 will be on February 14 and is in aid of the DAAT, and then on the second Saturday monthly as usual.
