A THEFT of £2,000 of equipment and vandalism at Red Lion Yard are among the crimes to have taken place in the Okehampton area in the last few days.

• BOLLARDS and plants were thrown around Red Lion Yard in Okehampton sometime between 7am on Wednesday, March 14 and Thursday, March 15 at 9.30pm. Anyone who witnessed the damage being caused is asked to call or email 101, quoting crime reference CR/023357/18.

• HEATING oil worth £1,200 was stolen from a property in the Highampton area. Police are advising people to put up barriers and deterrents around their oil tanks to stop thefts, CR/023563/18.

• TOOLS worth £2,000 including Matika power tools, a Metabo Router and a One Point Laser spirit level in an orange case have been stolen from a vehicle broken into on Leaholes Avenue Okehampton. The theft took place overnight on Tuesday, March 20 between 10pm and 9am the following day, CR/024267/18.

• A rear car window was smashed while parked in Monkokehampton between 3.55pm and 4.05pm on Wednesday, March 21. Nothing was stolen, CR/024295/18.

• A WINDOW was smashed in Maceys Terrace, Okehampton on Wednesday, March 21 shortly after 5pm. Two cyclists wearing blue anoraks were seen riding away from the scene, CR/024310/18. ‘If you witnessed this or if you were cycling in the area at the time we ask that you call or email 101 so we can eliminate you from our enquiries,’ said a police spokesman.
